Taco Kitten Pizza nominated for Kinderspiel des Jahres 2024

Good news just in: Taco Kitten Pizza has been nominated for the prestigious award alongside Magic Keys by Happy Baobab and Große kleine Edelsteine by Schmidt Spiele.

As with Next Station London last year, this nomination recognizes the work of many people, and we’d like to congratulate them: authors Dave Campbell and Thierry Denoual, illustrator Simon Douchy, the Blue Orange editorial team and German distributor Asmodee.

Taco Kitten Pizza is the children’s version of our best-selling Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza, joining a range of 4 games localized in many countries.

This game has been designed with our youngest players in mind: more accessible in terms of rules, but as fun as ever! We’re delighted to see that it caught the jury’s attention, and we’d like to thank them for this nomination. We look forward to repeating Dragomino’s feat in 2021.

Receiving a second Kinderspiel would be much more than just another award, it would be an international recognition of our expertise in children’s play.

Bubble Stories is nominated for As d’Or 2022 in Kids category

The news came out last night: Bubble Stories is nominated in the Kids category of the 2022 As d’Or!

This is our 4th nomination in 4 years in this category, so we are very happy and proud to see our expertise in children’s games recognized by our fellow professionals. Thank you to the jury of the International Games Festival for having selected Bubble Stories. After Mr Wolf in 2019 and Dragomino in 2021, we hope to add another children’s award to our collection.

Congratulations to its author Matthew Dunstan, its illustrator Simon Douchy, our project manager Bryan Lefebvre and our distributor Tribuo. See you in Cannes on 24th February to find out the result and hopefully drink some bubbles together!

Dragomino won Kinderspiel des Jahres 2021 !

2021 is definitely the year of victory for Dragomino since it has just won the Kinderspiel des Jahres 2021! It is a great joy that we share with the authors Bruno Cathala, Marie and Wilfried Fort, the illustrators Maeva Da Silva and Christine Deschamps as well as the Pegasus team.
We continue our great history with the Spiel des Jahres after the victory of Kingdomino in 2017 and the nomination for the Kinderspiel of Panic Mansion in 2018.

After the As D’Or last February – and the one in 2019 – this new award in the Children’s category confirms our expertise in games for younger players. Through our simple and clever games, we sincerely wish to create moments of sharing and joy for all ages. This is also an opportunity to thank you, the players, who have supported us for several years. THANK YOU!

Dragomino has been nominated for the Kinderspiel des Jahres ! 🤩 This nomination is an excellent surprise that recognizes the work of authors Bruno Cathala, Marie and Wilfried Fort, illustrators Maeva Da Silva and Christine Deschamps.

After our Children’s Game of the year (As d’Or) victory last February, we very much hope that Dragomino will follow the footsteps of its big brother Kingdomino, Spiel des Jahres 2017 winner, one of the most prestigious awards in the board game world. We would be extremely proud to win this award to continue our great history with the Spiel des Jahres.

Panic Mansion nominated for the Kinder Spiel des Jahres! 😱

The scary news came out: Panic Mansion is nominated for the Kinderspiel des Jahres!

Yesterday the walls trembled and the ground was collapsing under our feet when we learned the frightening news: Panic Mansion is nominated for the Kinderspiel des Jahres, the children game of the year award in Germany! This one-of-a-kind game with its dreadful atmosphere, shifting floor and terrifying meeples seduced the jury.

After the awesome Spiel Des Jahres surprise for Kingdomino in 2017, we are proud of this new nomination! The results will be revealed on 11 June in Hamburg during the award ceremony. To be continued…

Kingdomino wins Game of the Year award in Denmark and Italy

Jury of the italian Game of the Year, Gioco dell’ anno, was seduced by Kingdomino and awarded it the best board game 2017. The jury’s arguments: easy to understand, easy to play, easy to explain and nicely illustrated. The final selection gathered Magic Maze, Topiary, La Casa dei Sogni, Unlock and Kingdomino.

The game of the year is a competition organized by Lucca Comics & Games since 2013 to promote board games culture in the country. The prize has quickly become the main Italian award to offer a selection of the best, exciting and easy-to-play titles that allow casual gamers, families and the general public to get together around a table.

In Denmark, the Guldbrikken jury decided to reward Kingdomino as the best family game of the year. Among the nominees: Kuna Yala, Tokaido, Patchwork and Kingdomino. To be selected in the family category, the games must be for the whole family and can be played by adults or children. The rules must be in Danish.

Kingdomino win the Spiel des Jahres 2017!

Kingdomino continues its nominations for awards and prizes in the boardgaming universe… After the Double 6, the As d’Or, the Major Fun Award, the Beeple Award, the Jokers Award and the Ludo Label, the jury of Spiel des Jahres was deliberating this morning.

And it is a wonderful gift that the jury of the world-renowned award offered us by awarding Kingdomino: the Spiel des Jahres 2017! The previous winners were Codenames, Colt Express, Hanabi, Dixit, Dominion, Les Aventuriers du Rail, Carcassonne and many others.

Congratulations to the others nominees El Dorado and Magic Maze. We thanks a lot our German partner Pegasus Spiele and of course both Pegasus and Blue Orange teams who rocks!

Blue Orange is nominated for the most prestigious international prize in the gameboard community, the Spiel des Jahres. This award, presented once a year by a jury of German critics, rewards the best boardgame of the year in three categories.

Congratulations already to Bruno Cathala and Cyril Bouquet!

Congratulations also to Thierry Denoual, the author of Chickyboom which is part of the recommendations in the Kid’s Game category.
