From October 22 to 25, 2026, Blue Orange will participate in SPIEL Essen, the largest international event dedicated to board games.

During the event, our team will be at booth 6F300 to introduce visitors to our world and connect with players from around the globe.

There, you’ll be able to check out our latest releases, rediscover some of our all-time favorites, and enjoy demonstrations and sneak peeks led by our hosts.

New year, new hall

Yes, that’s the big news this year: we’re moving to a new hall! Goodbye Hall 3, hello Hall 6 where you’ll find us on booth 6D300.

What hasn’t changed is that we’re bringing with us : an incredible scenography, a motivated team and of course a great line-up of games. You’ll be able to play Volto, Taco Chat Bouc Cheese Pizza and its children’s version Taco Chaton, Morris The Dodo. Our latest release Doctor Rat will of course be on the trip, juts like Moon River, which you can buy before its release in France.

The fabulous adventure of the Kingdomino French Championship!

This summer was held the first French Kingdomino Championship. Proud kings and queens from all over France competed in epic contests in many cities of the Kingdom. In festivals: Des Bretzels et des jeux, Paris est ludique, FLIP, Orléans joue or in game bars, La Feinte de l’ours, L’Heure du jeu, and in shops like Le Passe-Temps, the greatest champions have cross the dominoes!

Everywhere they have aroused enthusiasm for this wonderful game by Bruno Cathala, illustrated by the unstoppable Cyril Bouquet.

This emotional period ended with great pomp and circumstance at Officine Tric-Trac (office of the largest french speaking boardgame media) in the presence of the author and illustrator. A great day of festivities full of surprises and discoveries for the champions of each region.

To the key? A giant trophy and a prize of 500 € for winner!

Single Card Game

What is the Single Card Game?

This is a family fun bluffing game that can be played anywhere and with everyone.

This is the most minimalist game worldwide: a single card.

This is the cheapest game in the world:  you can have it for free.

This is positive: a big smile.

The rules are fully explained on the back of the card:

  1. You put the smile in front of your mouth and spin the card for a few seconds;
  2. You stop spinning when the card is in horizontal position;
  3. The remaining players will tell you with their thumb if you smile (thumb up) or not (thumbs down), but they can also bluff;
  4. You have to guess if you have a smile on the card or not;
    If you don’t find the correct answer, you are eliminated.
  5. Pass the card then your neighbour on the left;
  6. The last player in the game is the winner!

This smile will be available for free in the board game stores near you from 7 November 2016!
