Using your Exploration cards, create new routes to keep moving forward and surprise your rivals. Need to slow someone down? Action cards let you rotate, move, or remove cards to change the course of the race! The game’s big twist: when several cards belong to the same faction, you can play them simultaneously to unleash powerful winning combos!

Rotate the tower in the right direction, then roll the dice inside it to try to push back the invaders. Every roll can bring surprises: some results trigger actions that eliminate even more enemies, while others make things harder by spawning new Attackers .

The goal?

Behind your screen, become a master of deduction! As the game progresses, cross off on your slate the numbers you think are not in your secret sequence. Your slate serves as your guide throughout the game, so stay sharp and think logically to avoid missing anything!

When it’s your turn, perform these two actions:

Reveal a random tile, then
Choose one of the revealed tiles to make a deduction by asking one of the following two questions: ask your opponents to place the tile among your secret numbers on your rack, or ask them to compare your tile based on its point value.

These questions provide valuable clues about your secret sequence. Little by little, things will start to become clearer. When you think you’ve figured it out, shout “Got Five!” and announce the numbers you’ve found. If you’re correct, you win the game—otherwise, you lose!

Games last around 15 to 20 minutes and are played with 2 to 4 players. The game is easy to pick up thanks to its simple rules.

If you’re familiar with sports, you probably already know what trail running is. For beginners (and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that), trail running is simply running in the great outdoors.

Don’t worry, On the Trail doesn’t require you to be a top athlete! You will cross the finish line, that’s for sure. Playing solo or with two players, make your way to the final Aid Station by using Course cards. Your journey won’t be easy, as different stages can slow you down. If you pass through an Incident stage, draw an Incident card and apply its effect immediately. Rely on Aid Stations to save you and discard your Incident cards.

The great thing about On the Trail is that it doesn’t require any physical preparation! Set up the game and prove yourself!

Ice Split: who will have the best ice cream display?

Looking for your next cooperative game? Discover Shout the Clue, a game where you’ll have to guess words using clues given by your teammates.

Each round, one player becomes the Decoder and must guess as many words as possible within a limited time. The other players, called Informers, must help the Decoder by giving clues under a specific Constraint. These constraints can be things like verbs, sound effects, or even shapes. You’ll need to use both logic and imagination to get the words across despite the imposed constraint!

In Shout the Clue, everyone gives clues at the same time, and the round can quickly turn into real chaos!

The Kingdomino range expands with Moon River

One of the most eagerly-awaited Blue Orange games of the year has finally arrived in stores. We’ve been telling you about it since Cannes, we had you play it at PEL and during FLIP, we even sold it exclusively at Essen: Moon River is now available in stores.

Bruno Cathala, author of the entire Kingdomino range, worked with Yohann Servais to bring you a new addition to the range, featuring dominoes in a different form. Régis Torres illustrates the game and its new territories, bringing this new universe to life.

And yes, because we’re also changing theme in Moon River. Goodbye castles, hello Wild West! You’ve just inherited some land, and now it’s up to you to assemble the parcels to make your herd prosper. But beware: life in the Wild West is not without danger. Your opponents are clearly going to make life difficult for you.

So get your lassos ready!

Let’s get down to business: how do you play Moon River? Each player takes its Reserve board and its Rancheros counters of the same color. Then place the cows, the saloon and finally, the first 4 plots. As in Kingomino, you take turns choosing your plots in the order of your Rancheros’ positions. So anticipate your next turn by positioning yourself intelligently.

Your turn is divided into 3 actions:

Retrieve your plot:

You must retrieve your selected plot and place it in an empty space on your reserve board. This is what the 3 slots on your board are for, to store your plots until you can assemble them.

Expand your ranch:

As soon as you have two plots available, you can expand your ranch by placing your newly created domino. At first, you’ll place them against the bridges that act as wildcards (like the sides of Kingdomino Castle), then you’ll have to follow the rules for connecting territories.

Select a new plot

End your turn by selecting your next plot from the 4 available by placing your Ranchero on it.

On your plots, you’ll discover different symbols. Here are the effects:

– Cow: place a cow on the plot with the symbol. Forget crowns, from now on cows will earn you points. And cows move, so you can optimize any part of your ranch if you play your cards right.

– Skull: when you expand a territory with a parcel containing this symbol, drought sets in, resulting in the removal of a Cow counter present in that territory.

– Circle: marks the location of a saloon associate to be recruited. These have different roles in the management of your ranch, such as guarding your herd, swapping a plot with your opponent or even stealing a cow from another player. And we know which ones you’re going to choose 👀

Who will be the best Ranchero?

As soon as there are no more plots, the game stops. It’s time to move on to scoring, with several ways to earn points. Each territory is worth a number of points equal to the number of squares it contains, multiplied by the number of Cow counters. Please note that each square can only contain one Cow counter at the end of the game!

Then, one point for each resource on the board (corn, beaver or gold nugget), and an extra point for each resource if you have associates of these resources on your board. As you can see, the person with the most points wins the game.

Moon River offers a new experience in dominoes. It’s different enough from Kingdomino to appeal to you: more interaction between players, a new theme, and a domino assembly mechanism. It’s the perfect family game, combining tactics and optimization. There’s also an Advanced game mode with scenarios and asymmetrical individual boards, to make your adventure even more challenging.

In short, if you want to build the best ranch, you’ll have to play with cattle!

Doctor Rat opens his office to you

But what is this game? You’re probably wondering, and with good reason: Doctor Rat is a playful curiosity that we’ve been keeping secret for several months. It’s one of those original, thought-provoking and, above all, intriguing games.

Johannes Krenner, winner of both the As d’Or Initié and the Kennerspiel for Challengers, has created an asymmetrical, cooperative game. The idea came to him during his trip to Peru, where he had to stay in bed in front of Doctor House: a cooperative game in which you have to attempt tests to guess what your illness is. The medical theme being a little too serious, Johannes preferred to draw inspiration from laboratory rats such as the animated characters Pinky and The Brain.

And it’s Simon Douchy who brings Doctor Rat and his fellow rodents to life in a more family-friendly version, without a laboratory, but set in a landfill.

A cooperative deduction game

So, what’s the pitch for this game? It’s simple and a little eccentric. Dear Doctor Rat has big plans for his fellow creatures: to teach them to eat better. He invites them to an intensive 8-meal training course. His objective is clear: all groups of rats must stay healthy by understanding their dietary constraints. The only problem is that he can’t help them with their deduction. The groups of rats have to figure out for themselves what they can and can’t eat, even if it means a bit of indigestion!

You’ll play either Doctor Rat or a rat colony, but with the same objective.

For each rat colony, the Doctor will secretly assign it a diet. During the 8 rounds of play, the colonies will have to guess what their diets are, based on different criteria.

Think carefully about your choice

Doctor Rat is a game where communication is essential between the different colonies. Each turn, you’ll have a choice of different food cards to guess your diet. Select, eat and survive…or not. Depending on the results, you’ll be able to deduce whether you can eat this or that ingredient, in what quantity or even in what color. Finding it difficult? Don’t worry, Doctor Rat can help the colonies with Special Action tokens. He can impose a food card on a colony of rats, prevent them from eating one, or give them medicine to “erase” a mistake. Be sure to use these tokens during the game, as they may not be used during the Final Examination.

The game ends when one of the following 3 situations occurs:

As soon as a rat colony obtains its 3rd Red Cross, the game ends and everyone loses the game, including the Doctor Rat.
One of the rat colonies obtains a Red Cross during the Final Examination, which must be a perfect score to win the game. The game ends and everyone, including the Doctor Rat, loses the game.
Round 8 is over and no rat colony has made a mistake in the Final Examination.

Doctor Rat is a playful curiosity, just the way we like it. This asymmetrical game offers an innovative, highly replayable experience thanks to the numerous diets, plus you can modulate your difficulty level. Use and abuse communication between you to discover your diet and deduce which cards you should select. It’s this notion of cooperation that was important to the author. “I’m not afraid of a challenge, but I sometimes feel that competitive games give me less and less pleasure. Working together, for once, creates enjoyable experiences in a game round.”

Whether you’re Doctor Rat or a hungry rat, you’ll only want to win the game by surviving to the final round.

It seemed obvious that we make available for you easily accessible ways to play in these complicated times. As Bruno Cathala says, “It makes sense. We are at home, we have a little more time to play with family, and even spend a nice family moment with a craft activity before playing”.

Kingdomino “The Court” is particularly intended for a family audience which appreciates the initial game and which does not want something with high complexity. But no doubt that all fans of Kingdomino and the different games of the range will very quickly adopt it and especially play it!

Note that you will need a box of Kingdomino or Queendomino to be able to play the expansion.

Making this new game, delivered to you in less than 10 days (a very short time in the board game industry), is the challenge that the Blue Orange team, with the involvement of Bruno Cathala and Cyril Bouquet, is very happy and proud to have succeeded together, despite the quarantine which imposed new rules on work organization.
