The goal?

Behind your screen, become a master of deduction! As the game progresses, cross off on your slate the numbers you think are not in your secret sequence. Your slate serves as your guide throughout the game, so stay sharp and think logically to avoid missing anything!

When it’s your turn, perform these two actions:

Reveal a random tile, then
Choose one of the revealed tiles to make a deduction by asking one of the following two questions: ask your opponents to place the tile among your secret numbers on your rack, or ask them to compare your tile based on its point value.

These questions provide valuable clues about your secret sequence. Little by little, things will start to become clearer. When you think you’ve figured it out, shout “Got Five!” and announce the numbers you’ve found. If you’re correct, you win the game—otherwise, you lose!

Games last around 15 to 20 minutes and are played with 2 to 4 players. The game is easy to pick up thanks to its simple rules.

on the trail: who’s up for a trail run?

If you’re familiar with sports, you probably already know what trail running is. For beginners (and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that), trail running is simply running in the great outdoors.

Don’t worry, On the Trail doesn’t require you to be a top athlete! You will cross the finish line, that’s for sure. Playing solo or with two players, make your way to the final Aid Station by using Course cards. Your journey won’t be easy, as different stages can slow you down. If you pass through an Incident stage, draw an Incident card and apply its effect immediately. Rely on Aid Stations to save you and discard your Incident cards.

The great thing about On the Trail is that it doesn’t require any physical preparation! Set up the game and prove yourself!

Number of players: 1–2
Recommended age: 8+
Game duration: about 15 minutes

Ice Split: who will have the best ice cream display?

Have you always dreamed of being an ice cream vendor so you can eat as much ice cream as you like? Now you can with Ice Split! Discover this fun and refreshing game where you build your own display using your favorite ice cream flavors.

The goal of Ice Split is to score the most points by completing objectives using your Flavor cards. To do this, you have two options: play your cards on the Objective side to set goals, or on the Flavor side to complete them. For example, you might choose the objective “Have a majority of chocolate-flavored ice cream” to earn 4 points.

Which flavors will you choose?

Number of players: 2–4
Recommended age: 8+
Game duration: about 15 minutes

SHOUT THE CLUE : get ready to guess like crazy!

Looking for your next cooperative game? Discover Shout the Clue, a game where you’ll have to guess words using clues given by your teammates.

Each round, one player becomes the Decoder and must guess as many words as possible within a limited time. The other players, called Informers, must help the Decoder by giving clues under a specific Constraint. These constraints can be things like verbs, sound effects, or even shapes. You’ll need to use both logic and imagination to get the words across despite the imposed constraint!

In Shout the Clue, everyone gives clues at the same time, and the round can quickly turn into real chaos!

Number of players: 3–8
Recommended age: 8+
Game duration: about 15 minutes

Welcome to Magicaboo, a kigs game where the country’s greatest magicians gather for the annual magic tournament!

Here’s how it works: 10 objects are placed in the center of the table, covered with a magical scarf, while picture tiles are arranged face-up in a circle. The magician must feel for an object under the scarf, select one, and—while chanting “MA-GI-CA-BOOO!”—make it disappear.

The spectators must then identify the missing object and quickly place their hand on the corresponding tile. Observation, speed, and intuition are key to winning!

Alert! The greedy CakoZaurus has been spotted lurking near your bakery!
Work together to keep satisfying customers while keeping an eye on the hungry monster. Each turn, drop your pastries into the cake dispenser, then move them from one display to another to fulfill the customers’ orders. But be careful, at the end of each turn, CakoZaurus moves and devours all the cakes on one of the displays. Watch its feeding closely because if it topples over from the weight in its belly, the game ends!

Taco Kitten Pizza nominated for Kinderspiel des Jahres 2024

Good news just in: Taco Kitten Pizza has been nominated for the prestigious award alongside Magic Keys by Happy Baobab and Große kleine Edelsteine by Schmidt Spiele.

As with Next Station London last year, this nomination recognizes the work of many people, and we’d like to congratulate them: authors Dave Campbell and Thierry Denoual, illustrator Simon Douchy, the Blue Orange editorial team and German distributor Asmodee.

Taco Kitten Pizza is the children’s version of our best-selling Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza, joining a range of 4 games localized in many countries.

This game has been designed with our youngest players in mind: more accessible in terms of rules, but as fun as ever! We’re delighted to see that it caught the jury’s attention, and we’d like to thank them for this nomination. We look forward to repeating Dragomino’s feat in 2021.

Receiving a second Kinderspiel would be much more than just another award, it would be an international recognition of our expertise in children’s play.

The Kingdomino range expands with Moon River

Hurry to the store to discover Moon River

One of the most eagerly-awaited Blue Orange games of the year has finally arrived in stores. We’ve been telling you about it since Cannes, we had you play it at PEL and during FLIP, we even sold it exclusively at Essen: Moon River is now available in stores.

Bruno Cathala, author of the entire Kingdomino range, worked with Yohann Servais to bring you a new addition to the range, featuring dominoes in a different form. Régis Torres illustrates the game and its new territories, bringing this new universe to life.

And yes, because we’re also changing theme in Moon River. Goodbye castles, hello Wild West! You’ve just inherited some land, and now it’s up to you to assemble the parcels to make your herd prosper. But beware: life in the Wild West is not without danger. Your opponents are clearly going to make life difficult for you.

So get your lassos ready!

Let’s get down to business: how do you play Moon River? Each player takes its Reserve board and its Rancheros counters of the same color. Then place the cows, the saloon and finally, the first 4 plots. As in Kingomino, you take turns choosing your plots in the order of your Rancheros’ positions. So anticipate your next turn by positioning yourself intelligently.

Your turn is divided into 3 actions:

Retrieve your plot:

You must retrieve your selected plot and place it in an empty space on your reserve board. This is what the 3 slots on your board are for, to store your plots until you can assemble them.

Expand your ranch:

As soon as you have two plots available, you can expand your ranch by placing your newly created domino. At first, you’ll place them against the bridges that act as wildcards (like the sides of Kingdomino Castle), then you’ll have to follow the rules for connecting territories.

Select a new plot

End your turn by selecting your next plot from the 4 available by placing your Ranchero on it.

On your plots, you’ll discover different symbols. Here are the effects:

– Cow: place a cow on the plot with the symbol. Forget crowns, from now on cows will earn you points. And cows move, so you can optimize any part of your ranch if you play your cards right.

– Skull: when you expand a territory with a parcel containing this symbol, drought sets in, resulting in the removal of a Cow counter present in that territory.

– Circle: marks the location of a saloon associate to be recruited. These have different roles in the management of your ranch, such as guarding your herd, swapping a plot with your opponent or even stealing a cow from another player. And we know which ones you’re going to choose 👀

Who will be the best Ranchero?

As soon as there are no more plots, the game stops. It’s time to move on to scoring, with several ways to earn points. Each territory is worth a number of points equal to the number of squares it contains, multiplied by the number of Cow counters. Please note that each square can only contain one Cow counter at the end of the game!

Then, one point for each resource on the board (corn, beaver or gold nugget), and an extra point for each resource if you have associates of these resources on your board. As you can see, the person with the most points wins the game.

Moon River offers a new experience in dominoes. It’s different enough from Kingdomino to appeal to you: more interaction between players, a new theme, and a domino assembly mechanism. It’s the perfect family game, combining tactics and optimization. There’s also an Advanced game mode with scenarios and asymmetrical individual boards, to make your adventure even more challenging.

In short, if you want to build the best ranch, you’ll have to play with cattle!
